Yes!!!! Finally I managed to sort out my pictures, edit them & upload as well!! 😀 I’m feeling mighty pleased at the moment, having completed the challenge I set for myself. Even though there were days I wasn’t feeling it, I took a break & got back to it & you could say I slogged my camera through our vacation! 😉
So finally my fifty-second & final 52 – Birds
Unknown Bird
Unknown Bird
Cormorant with Lesser Whistling Ducks & a hidden Purple Moorhen
A collage of a Purple Moorhen chasing another with the Lesser Whistling Ducks around them.
That’s it for now, as soon as I get to know the unknown birds I will update. 🙂
The Purple Moorhens, Cormorant, Whistling Ducks & Great Egret were shot at Carambolim Lake.
The Kingfishers, Little Egret & Red Wattled Lapwing at Cortalim Fields.
The Woodpecker & Magpie Robin in our backyard.
The first bird at Curtorim Lake.
The Seagulls at Velsao Beach.
Hope you’re having a great day.. I know I am!! (Now that I completed my 52s 🙂 )

Beach, Beach Clean Ups, Cormorants, Flamingos, K's Path, Kuwait, Mangrove, Migratory Birds, Seagulls, Sulaikibhat Beach, Volunteering
Last Friday, the 24th, we reached Sulaikibhat beach & were in for a big surprise! The vast area (low tide) was almost covered with different birds. I’d never seen so many at a time in real life & here I was lucky on that day!
Migratory birds like Flamingos, Cormorants and Sea gulls were more prominently noticeable. My knowledge of birds isn’t very vast 😀 so I can’t give out more species names.
After taking a few shots & a video (which I’m yet to edit/crop), we got down to cleaning the Mangroves. Every now & then we could hear the sea gulls & birds & it was a wonderful experience. I did half an hour’s worth cleaning & then went back to shooting more pictures & capturing some action by the staff & volunteers.
After the cleaning took a few group shots.
And this last one is of course a panoramic view of the Mangroves. 🙂
PS: The next beach clean-up is scheduled for tomorrow (31st Aug) same place (Sulaikibhat Beach) same time (5-6pm). Contact K’s Path to volunteer. You can come alone (provided you’re legally an adult) or you can come with a friend or family & spend time for a good cause!
Looking for reasons to volunteer?
Hope to see new faces tomorrow & have a happy weekend! 🙂
