This was a completely unplanned trip. My sisters-in-law & kids had never been to Wafra, so yesterday we suddenly decided to go there. Our initial plan was to head to K’s PATH, but as we had some work at Sharq, we ran out of time (K’s Path closes at 2pm). So we had lunch out & then headed to Wafra just for a long drive.
The weather was beautiful, not too dull nor too bright. I saw some nice sun-rays peeking through.
On the way we saw some camels & took photos. They were headed towards the road, so I got this neat shot of them.
Then we came across Solar Farm. We asked permission to enter & went to explore & had a nice time. I had a great time doing my photography :). Now whenever we head out with our dslr, we take our tripod too, so no one gets left out in the pics.
Inside there were many different flowering & non-flowering plants. Check here for photos of the flowers. Also there were “boram” (Indian Plum) plants all around. If you don’t know what boram is, it’s a small 1/1.5 cm fruit with a seed inside. It is also known as Jujube or Ziziphus Mauritiana.
Saw some pigeons on top of stone structures. This one was on the window & I liked the way its white feathers contrasted against the dark inside.
The most entertaining view was of the prancing deers. One just kept jumping in a happy run, it was so enjoyable to see it.
A young stag/ buck peeking through the fence.
Besides the deer there were also ducks.
Blogging about trips can be a little daunting for me, I’ve yet to write about our trips of our honeymoon in Malaysia (back in 2010) & Goa vacation.
Anyway happy travelling in Kuwait for now!
